askr Community
One public room for everyone around askr: who can read, who can speak, what @askr costs you, and the rules.
Checked against the code on
askr Community is one public room at heyaskr.ai/community, built on askr Collab and made for phones first. Anyone can read it and watch it live, with no account. To speak you need an account with an @ and a linked wallet. In three of its topics every line is a request to askr, and the room pays for the answer, not you.
Reading and speaking
- Reading
- Open the page. Every topic, every line and every picture can be read without signing in, and new lines arrive live. The page asks search engines not to index it, but it is public: anyone with the link reads all of it.
- Speaking
- An active account with an @ (pick one in Settings) and a wallet linked to it. Any of the three ways to link counts: signing in with a wallet, Connect wallet (sign one message) or Verify holdings (ASKR Connect: a small buy from the wallet). Holding ASKR has the steps. What the wallet holds does not matter unless the team switches on a minimum holding, and the room says so when it does.
- Your first day
- For the first day after you link a wallet (the window is a room setting) you cannot post links or pictures, and you wait 30 seconds between lines anywhere in the room. Everything else works.
- When you cannot speak
- The bar under the room says why: sign in, claim an @, link a wallet, muted until a time, or banned. Muted and banned accounts still read. An appeal goes through Support, from that same bar.

The team sets which topics are open, their order and their slow mode; the page shows what is open. A line carries its writer's @, the time and reactions. Reply to a line from its menu, in the same topic, or in General for an announcement.
@askr and what it costs you
Nothing. The room has its own balance, granted by askr, and every answer, picture and clip is paid from it at the model's price. Your own credits and your holder allowance are never touched. In Ask askr, Images and Video every line runs; in every other topic nothing runs and nothing is charged.
The model sees your line and, if you replied to one, the line you replied to, each with its writer's @ in front, plus askr's standing instructions. It does not see the rest of the room. It is told to answer you directly and keep it short, never to give financial advice or trading calls, never to repeat links or addresses from the question, and to send questions about accounts to Support.
The caps are room settings the team can change, so this page describes them and the room shows the figures:
- The room's day. A cap in credits on what the room spends between one 00:00 UTC and the next. The Today's AI card shows spent against cap. When it is spent, or the balance is empty, askr rests until the next day or the next grant; talking goes on.
- Your day. So many @askr runs, pictures and clips each per person per day, with a separate cap on pictures attached to chat lines. The Rules card and the composer show what you have left, and all of it comes back at 00:00 UTC.
- The room's clips. A cap on clips for the whole room per day, since a clip is the dearest thing the room makes.
- One at a time. One @askr run in flight per person, and a handful for the whole room; past that, the room asks you to try again in a moment.
- The off switch. The team can rest askr in the room at any time, and raid mode rests it too.
The room's text, picture and video models are the team's choice. The composer names the model, and for Video the price of a clip, before you send.
Slow mode and floods
- Slow mode is a wait between your own lines in one topic, set per topic by the team; General has one from the start, and the Rules card lists them. The send button counts it down. Admins and mods skip slow mode; the daily caps apply to everyone.
- Floods. For everyone but the team: one line a second, ten a minute, and the same text again within ten minutes is refused. At most five @s in a line, up to three pictures on a line, and a length limit the room tells you about when you go past it.
- Raid mode. When the room is under attack an admin switches it on: 30 seconds between lines for everyone, no new links, askr resting, and wallets linked after it began wait until it is off. The room says when it is on.
Links and addresses
- Links in lines cannot be tapped, on purpose. A person's line is drawn as plain text, so a link in it is words, not a button. The one exception is the name of the support bot, which opens the Support sheet from anywhere in the room. askr's answers are drawn with formatting, and askr is told to write no links of its own.
- Refused for everyone but the team: invites to other chats (Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp), link shorteners, hosts that read like askr but are not askr's, links with a name@ before the host, raw IP addresses, and links dressed up with unusual characters to slip past a check. The support bot's own link is allowed. Announcements take only askr's own links, even from the team.
- Every 0x address in a line is checked by the server against the one ASKR contract and marked as it or not. The contract and askr's official links are held by the server as the room's own rules; anything else claiming to be ASKR is not.
Moderation and reports
askr's admins and mods are known to the server by their role, never by a name or a picture. What they can do: delete a line; mute for an hour, a day or until lifted; ban, and with a ban delete the person's lines from the last 24 hours; pin up to five lines a topic; set a topic's slow mode. Admins also switch raid mode on and off. Mods cannot act on the team, and nobody acts on their own lines. Every action is written to an audit trail. Deleting a question deletes askr's answer to it too, and a deleted line's pictures stop being served at once.
- Report a line: open its menu and choose Report to the mods, then a reason: scam, spam, abuse or something else. The mods see the report; the room does not. One report per person per line, and ten open at a time.
- Your own lines: you can delete any line of your own. It leaves the room at once for everyone, with askr's answer to it and its pictures.
- Appeal a mute or ban through Support: the bar under the room offers Appeal, which opens the support sheet on the right row.
- What gets you muted or banned: scams, impersonating askr or the team, asking anyone for keys or funds, spam, floods and abuse. The rules in plain words are in the terms.
Support
Support sits at the top of the room on every screen size, and in every line's menu. It opens a sheet whose first button goes to @askrsupportbot on Telegram, where a person on the askr team answers; the rows below go straight to something broken, a top-up that has not landed, a question about ASKR, an appeal, or someone messaging you as askr. No Telegram: email ask@heyaskr.ai from the address you want the reply on. Email is slower.
askr never messages you first. Support is only @askrsupportbot, and the Support button is the way in; lookalike names are fakes. Nobody from askr asks for your seed phrase, private key or password, or asks you to send funds or verify a wallet. A DM from "askr", "a mod" or "support" is not us.
In the room, the words @askrsupportbot and t.me/askrsupportbot are tap targets that open the same sheet; where they lead is fixed in the code, never read from the line. When a mod or askr answers an account question with "For anything about your account, tap Support at the top of the room. askr never DMs you first.", that is the whole answer: accounts, top-ups, sign-in, mutes and bans are handled by support, not in the room.
X posts
A line in X posts is one link to a post on X (x.com or twitter.com, and the fxtwitter, vxtwitter and fixupx mirrors) with up to 280 characters of your own beside it. No other links, no pictures, and the same post not twice within seven days. The topic has its own slow mode.
askr's server fetches the post from X once and stores what the card needs: the author's name and @, the text, whether it has a picture or video, its time, and two pictures, the author's avatar and the post's first picture (none at all when X marks the post sensitive). Your browser gets all of it from askr's own address and loads nothing from X unless you open the link. A card viewed a day or more after its last check is checked again; a post deleted, protected or withheld on X is marked gone and its stored text and pictures are removed. Pictures of posts nobody has shared for 90 days are removed. A post by @heyaskr is marked official; a name or @ that reads like askr but is not is flagged as a lookalike.
Buys
askr's own buy feed, written by askr's server; no outside bot is let into the room. It watches a fixed list of ASKR pools on Robinhood Chain and posts each buy over a dollar value the team sets, as it lands: the amount of ASKR and about what it was worth at the time at DexScreener's price, with the buyer's address shortened and a link to the transaction on the explorer. Sells are not posted. When more buys land in a minute than the feed's limit, the rest fold into one line: "And 7 more buys in the last minute, about $1,240 in all."
Addresses are public chain data. The feed never links a buy to anyone's @ and never shows a whole address; the explorer does, because the chain is public. If you say in the room that a buy was yours, you have linked your @ to that wallet yourself, in public. Nothing in the feed is advice: the dollar value is the price at that moment and nothing more.
A private chat on the side
Beside the room is a private chat with askr, so the room itself does not have to be one long prompt: Ask askr privately, from the top bar on a phone or beside the room on a desk, or Ask askr about this from a line's menu. Only you see it. It is saved to your History like any chat at /chat, and it is paid from your own balance at the model's price. Holding ASKR lowers the price of every private answer, within your daily allowance; it is not free for anyone. With an empty balance the panel points you to Ask askr, where the room pays.
What is public
- Every line, picture and clip in the room, with its writer's @, the time and the topic, readable by anyone and kept.
- Reactions and their counts; who reacted is shown to signed-in viewers only. That you are typing, with your @, to everyone watching.
- The room's spend for the day and how many people are watching.
- Never: your wallet address, what it holds, your email or your account id. No route in the room returns them.
