How do I use askr without an account, and what does askr keep?

Start or join one
- StartOpen Anon in the menu, or go to heyaskr.ai/anon, and tap Start a chat. Without an account, askr gives this browser a guest name and nothing else.
- InviteTap Copy invite link at the top of the chat and send it to whoever should be in it.
- JoinOpen the link and tap Join the chat. No sign-up. Signed in already? You join as yourself.
What askr keeps, and for how long

Who sees the words
While it answers, askr passes your words to the company running the model, with one random id for the whole chat so its abuse checks can block one chat rather than everyone. Never your name, email, account or IP address. Each model is labelled with what its company does with them.
- Sealed
- The model runs inside secure hardware that proves what it runs. Once your words leave askr, nobody can read them: not the host, not the gateway.
- Zero retention
- The company keeps nothing once it answers, by its own policy.
- Kept
- The company keeps what you send for a while, usually 30 days. askr says who and how long before you send.
In askr Anon, askr Pro only picks sealed and zero retention models. Pick another model yourself and the chat warns you first.
Pay for it
Add credits with crypto or a connected wallet from Add credits. In a chat with other people, add credits to the chat from its sheet: anyone in it can. A card needs an account with a password, because a card payment gives Stripe your name.
Keep a guest account
A guest account lives in its browser. Clear the browser and the account and its credits are gone. To keep it, tap Keep this account at the top of the chat and choose a password. No email needed.
What askr Anon leaves out
- askr Mind: nothing is remembered, in the chat or about you.
- Web search, because the search engine would see the words.
- Comparing models, and making one video from several pictures.
- Watching by anyone with the link, and projects.
