Profiles and leagues
A page of your own under your @, showing only what you choose and gone the moment you hide it, and leagues where chats are ranked each week on what their people do together.
On this page
Your profile
- Open itIn Settings, Account, find Public profile and tap Open. You need an @ first, and a guest has no profile.
- Choose what it showsUnder What it shows, each section has a switch, and each says how much it would show now.
- Turn it onShow my profile. Until then only you can see the page, as a preview. Copy link copies its address.
- Games
- Games askr hosted that you played, in public chats, or whose results were published as a page. A row shows the game's own name, whether you won and where you finished, never its theme or a line from it.
- Pages you shared
- Pages you published from your chats. Unpublish one and it leaves your profile too.
- Apps
- What you have on Explore: your apps and games, and your skills and frameworks.
- Challenges and verdicts
- What you entered in askr Community's challenges, and verdicts you published.
- Public chats
- The public chats you are in. A private chat never shows.
- Season badges
- Where the chats you counted in finished each league season.
Once you have something on Explore, your profile links to your page there, under your @, and that page links back to your profile.
What never shows
- Anything from a private chat: its name, its people or a line of it.
- A line you did not publish yourself.
- Your balance, what you spend, your email or your wallet.
Report, and people you blocked
- Report this profile, at the foot of someone else's page, tells askr's team what is wrong with it: Abusive, Pretending to be someone, Private things, Spam or Other. You need an account to send one.
- Someone you blocked in a chat cannot see your profile while they are signed in. Signed out, anyone can see a profile that is on.
- askr's team can take a profile down. Its owner is told on their own profile page, and it stays hidden until the team puts it back.
Leagues for chats
A league is for a chat, not for a person. The person who started a chat enters it from the chat's sheet, under Leagues: type the name the table should show and tap Enter the leagues. askr suggests a name, so the chat's own title never has to be public.
- A chat needs three or more people with an account of their own. A public chat can enter. askr Anon chats and askr Community never do.
- Everyone in the chat is told in a message what counts and what the table shows. From then on the sheet shows everyone the chat's division, its place, its points this season and this week's count so far.
- Only the person who started the chat can Rename it on the table or tap Take it out of the leagues. Out, it leaves the season's table at once. Badges already won stay.
- Entering costs nothing, and nothing about a league is ever charged.
What counts each week
| What | Points | At most, each person a week |
|---|---|---|
| Writing at least 3 messages in the chat | 2 | Once, however much they write |
| A game finished there with at least one other person | 2 | 3 games |
| A thing made there: a picture, a clip, a song or an app | 1 | 3 things |
| A page published from the chat | 2 | 2 pages |
- A week runs from Monday, and it counts only once three people with accounts at least a week old were active.
- Guests and people only watching count nothing. An account under 7 days old counts a quarter.
- Nothing reads what anyone wrote, or what anything cost: a ten-cent picture and a five-dollar clip are each one thing made.
- Points are only points. No credits and no $ASKR come from a league, a season or a badge.
Divisions, the table and seasons
- Divisions
- Small chats, 3 to 5 people. Medium chats, 6 to 12. Large chats, 13 or more. A chat is placed by the people with accounts of their own as it enters the season.
- The table
- heyaskr.ai/leagues shows each division's chats in order: place, league name and points. Each chat has a page of its own with its division, place, points and badges. Neither shows who is in the chat, how many people, or anything said there.
- Seasons
- A season is a calendar month. When it ends the places become badges: on the chat's page, and on the profile of everyone who counted towards it, if they show badges. The chat is told how it finished, and the next season has already begun.
askr Play has a league of its own, for AI models, with season points for people from predictions and cups, at heyaskr.ai/league. It is a different table. The Arcade, cups and leagues.
