Find your way around
Where everything is: the bar at the top, the menu, your chats, your library, Settings and Help, on a phone and on a computer.
The bar at the top
Every page has the same bar, the chat included, so you can always get somewhere else in one tap.
- The askr logo
- On a computer, it takes you to the home page. On a phone, it opens the menu.
- Home, Pricing, Token, Help
- On a computer, in the middle of the bar. On a phone, at the top of the menu.
- Ask
- The red button on the site and in Help. It opens the app, ready for your question.
- Your picture
- Opens Settings. Signed out, Sign in is there instead.
The menu
In the app, the menu is a column on the left of a computer screen, and slides in from the left on a phone. From top to bottom:
- New chat
- Starts a fresh chat on askr Pro.
- Search chats
- Finds a chat by its name, or by something said in it. Press Enter to see every match on the Chats page.
- Chats
- Every chat you have, newest first. Invites waiting for you are at the top.
- Library
- Everything you made, and every file you attached. Your library.
- Home, Pricing, Token, Help, Community
- On a phone, the rest of askr, one tap from any chat. On a computer they are in the bar at the top instead.
- Recent
- Your latest chats, one tap away. All opens Chats.
- Your balance
- In dollars, with Add credits beside it. Add credits.
- Talk to the founders, get free credits
- Tell the people who make askr what you think. Feedback they can use earns free credits.
- Your account
- Your picture and name. Tap it for Settings, $ASKR, Help, Light, Dark or System, and Sign out.
On the site and in Help, the phone's menu opens with Home, Pricing, Token, Help and Community, then, once you are signed in, Chats, Library and Settings.
On a phone
- Tap the askr logo at the top left to open the menu. Tap outside it, or its x, to close it.
- At the top right, Ask starts a new chat, and your picture opens Settings.
- Inside a chat, the top bar shows the chat's name, then your balance, then Invite people to join.
- Every page the computer has, the phone has too: your chats, the Library, Settings, Pricing, the token page, Community and Help.
On a computer
- The bar across the top is the same on every page: the logo for home, Home, Pricing, Token and Help in the middle, and your picture on the right.
- In the app, the menu is a column on the left, open unless you close it. Its close button, beside New chat, folds it to a slim row of icons; the button at the top of that row opens it again. askr remembers your choice on that computer.
- On a narrower window the column slides in over the page instead, like on a phone.
Settings
Settings has four parts. On a phone they are four rows; on a computer they are a list on the left.
- Account
- Your picture and your @; how you sign in (password, email and wallet); light or dark, and web search in new chats; Answers, where Answer length sets how long answers are; your invite link; and download or delete your chats. Sign out and Sign out everywhere are at the foot.
- Credits
- Your balance, Add credits, and every top-up and charge under Activity. Send credits to someone is here too.
- $ASKR
- Link the wallet that holds your $ASKR, and see what it adds to your deposit bonus. Holding $ASKR.
- Memory
- What askr remembers about you, with Forget. askr Mind.
Light or dark
askr starts light. Choose Light, Dark or System (System follows your phone or computer) in the menu under your account, at the foot of every site and Help page, or in Settings, Account, under Appearance. The choice is kept in the browser you set it in.
Help
Help is in the bar at the top of every page, in every menu, under your account, and at the foot of every site page. To search it, use the search box at the top of any Help page, or tap the magnifier on a phone. On a keyboard, press / (or Ctrl and K) on any Help page. Message support, under Still stuck? at the foot of every Help article and in the Help menu, reaches a person on the askr team. Something went wrong.
