Link your wallet
Two ways to show askr which wallet holds your $ASKR: sign a message, or make a small buy.
On this page
askr counts the $ASKR in one wallet linked to your account. Link it in Settings, $ASKR, or from Verify holdings at the foot of Add credits. It asks Where is your ASKR?; there are two ways, and both do the same thing.
Sign a message
Choose A wallet app and sign one message, in a browser wallet such as MetaMask or Rabby, or in a wallet app over WalletConnect. Nothing moves and nothing is sent: the signature only proves the wallet is yours. Robinhood Wallet works from its own browser tab. If you signed in to askr with a wallet, that wallet is already linked.
Make a small buy
For a wallet that cannot sign a message, like the one inside FOMO, or if you would rather not connect a wallet at all: choose FOMO or Robinhood app.
- Paste the wallet's addressIn FOMO it is under Account, Deposit, then Deposit crypto: copy the one that starts with 0x. askr shows what it holds.
- Start the 60 secondsThen buy any amount of $ASKR, up to 25,000, from that wallet, in whatever app you use.
- Tap Doneaskr checks the chain. If that wallet made the buy, it is linked, and you keep what you bought.
- There is no amount to match: a buy from the wallet proves it is yours, because nobody else can make it.
- Tokens someone sends you do not count, since anyone can send tokens to any address. If your app delivers buys through a go-between, askr asks you to sell what you just bought within 60 seconds instead; that sale is the proof.
- A buy made before you started, or after the 60 seconds, does not count: start again.
- The only cost is the trade fee and the network fee, usually a few cents.
Good to know
- One wallet per account, and a wallet links to one account at a time.
- A newly linked wallet counts from the next midnight UTC. Holding $ASKR.
- askr only ever reads the address. It never needs your seed phrase or your private key.
